Company Profile

ITOMEN CO., LTD. イトメン株式会社

3-Line Introduction

1. Origins

Founded in 1945 as a flour-milling business in Tatsuno, Hyōgo, the company was reorganized in 1950 as Ito Seifun Seimen Co., Ltd., beginning dried noodle production.

2. Establishment

It pioneered instant noodles in Japan—launching the early bagged “Tonbo Ramen” in 1958 and “Chanpon Men” in 1963—now offering cup noodles, dried noodles, soups, and hand-stretched somen.

3. Today

Operating under the philosophy “Happiness Creation Company,” Itomen emphasizes food safety (FSSC 22000, HACCP), regional distribution primarily in western Japan, and innovation in non-fried noodle manufacturing.
