1. Origins

Founded in November 1953 in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture as Fuji Seimen by Fumio and Takeshi Ida, the company adopted the name Sanyo Foods in July 1961 when it began manufacturing instant noodles alongside dried noodles, later launching the iconic "Sapporo Ichiban" brand in 1966

2. Establishment
