Founded in 1949 (incorporated as Mishima Foods in 1961) in Hiroshima, the company specializes in producing and selling furikake seasonings—most notably its flagship “Yukari” brand, which holds over 90% domestic and global market share in red shiso seasoning.

In addition to its core seasoning business, Mishima Foods manufactures retort pouch and mixed rice products, distributes through domestic retail and foodservice channels, and operates overseas subsidiaries in the USA, China, and Thailand.
